Day 2: Model Process

At this point, I’ve iterated my way to a comprehensive final to-do list to create my real-world demo and my After Effects demo. Last night I spent time building the SketchUp model I will import into After Effects. I plan to gather materials over the next few days while I finish the After Effects simulation.

I’ve changed my idea from a recycling bin that changes size to a rim that changes size. This way, the system can be implemented with any size or shape of recycling bin, increasing the possibility that it will be installed in several different locations.

When there are more than two systems, user communities can choose to compete with one other user community, or an entire network of baskets. In the first option, relative recycling would dictate size of the rim. In the second option, an overall recycling production standing would dictate the “score.”
